Peirce, I didn't really know where to post this, especially in light of the many crossing accidents just recently. It does, however, have a place. Perhaps done by someone who had to clean up after one too many stupid people involved in crossing accidents? trainorders sign (http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?f=1&i=103874&t=103874)

Years ago when they used to have the "Stop Look and Listen" signs at crossings, someone chalked: "Violators will be dusted".

Good catch!

Dark Humor is a good category for this. It will also fit in "Crossing Signals and Signs."

In the chicago area there is a limestone quarry
located at the intersection of Ill 171, Ogden Ave and 1st Ave. There is a cyclone fence about 8' high with barbed wire on top completely around the quarry pit. On the Ill 171
side, the fence is about 1' from the rim of the quarry. It is at least a 200 ' drop STRAIGHT down! There were porcelain enamel signs on the fence stating "No Trespassing, Violators will be prosecuted". Many times I have wanted
to make a sign to post below it stating "Not too mention damn surprised". I dont know how
many trespassers ever made it over the fence and survive to be prosecuted!

Out in west Texas cattle country, you can see many signs on pasture fences stating that "Tresspassers will be shot", but the one I liked was the ones Kiet Dunn had on his ranch: "Tresspassing will be your last passing"!

Charlie, grew up in that area, I remember that sign and a heck of a fall if you lost your footing.
