Dont you just love the "sno-cones"?? I hear (no pun intended) that Metra in Chicago uses nylon ones on their horns, Nathan K5LA. But around here b/c of all the communities putting up such stinks over the horns rather than the noise from ORD, you only hear then when they run into the things they are supposed to warn! But thats another topic. Nice pic too...mounted on the nose of that 50+ year old bulldog!

Correction: I misnamed the piece in the above post. It is correctly called a Hancock Air Whistle. It was designed to sound like an old steam whistle. How successful it was is debatable.
