Anyone in the Columbus Ohio area, stop by the Ohio Railway Museum. Myself and a few others have been working since last fall to repaint N & W Pacific # 578. We're mostly done on the outside, aside from re lettering her. Next week I hope to start on the cab interior, start rebuliding the window frames, and paint the smokebox in graphite. If youre in the area on saturdays stop by and I'll hand you a brush. :D ..........

I'll see what i can do. All I have is a 35 mm camera, no digital. Can I send a pic to someone to post it for me? I dont subscribe to any of the on line photo services either.......Mike

Mike, most processing labs will now scan your regular photos for you at the time of processing and put them on a floppy for you. Or, if you have your own scanner, scan one and just attach it to an email to me and I'll post it on the thread for you. :D

Thanks, I will probably have to e-mail it to you , but I dont want to take any pics till I get the letering done. We are just about done with the painting, just need to do the backhead and touch up the front end. Then we will have to find/ make the cab windows, but that may be a project in itself  ....Mike

OK, guys, Mike has sent pictures and I will post a couple and add links to the rest so you can see all the work that has been done on this engine. The Cab interior is of particular interest. http://www.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/578cab1.jpg http://www.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/578eng1.jpg And the links are:Cab Shot (http://www.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/578cab2.jpg)/Locomotive (http://www.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/578eng2.jpg)/Front end (http://www.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/578fro.jpg) :D

Great work there Mike C! Nice photos, I'm very pleased to see her painted up. Being an N&W man, it is really nice to see. I live over yonder in Philly, wish I could take a day or two off to help...

Nice job Mike, I sure would like to see that High Steppin' Lady doin' her stuff at about 75 or 80 out on the mainline! It keeps the memories alive! Thanks. :D
