Reading 2100 Homeless again

After alot of hopes and goals for the big northern including a full overhaul and conversion to oil. Tom Payne has placed former Reading 2100 up for sale. Who knows when it will go.

Sad....first Frisco 4501's aborted rebuild, then the UP Big Boy rebuilding scam in Dallas, now this... :(
The Frisco Northern is still in storage north of Tulsa, and the Big Boy has never left Fair Park. How long was the 2100 held in ownership my Payne?

Tom has had her over 2 years now, I was part of the crew working on her, converted the engine to burn oil (traditionalists dont flame me please). Basically it comes down to politics, CN does not want to give running rights for the engine, as they run a "frieght railroad" and dont run passengers.

Something may happen otherwise to 2100, its being worked on. Hopefully some of the ideas do pan out.
