C.N. Steam?

Some Interesting Thoughts. C.P. will have
2816 on the Road within a few Monthes. You have to go to "Fort Brinks" for a "Friendly
Loan" to go for the "Expensive Rides".
Makes 1 winder what C.N. will do if they Have Any Guts to Match C.P. If they were
Smart They could take 6218 from Fort Erie
or Better Still Cut a Deal with the Canadian
Railway Museum in Delson to Lease say 6153
and give either Engine a Complete Overhaul
and take on C.P. With a Public Relations
Coup in the Wings. C.P. stands a Good Chance
of Winning this One. Its to bad C.N. doesn't
have the forsite to see a Good Deal and
ReCoup some Positive Immage and Prestige tp
Go With it. Anyone else care to Comment?

You may not be aware of it but CP want the re-furbishing of the 2816 to be kept a secret. Why? Well, when you are busy laying off three thousand workers and destroying many families, it isn't exactly "cricket" that you are spending one and a half million to rebuild a steam engine.

CN is to busy keeping the shareholder happy to concern itself with something petty like public relations. Think I'm kidding. Well, from an excellent source in CN who has published a rail fan book and is a modeler railroad and avid rail fan as well. CN is suppose to do major maintance on all its train bridges, every bridge is suppose to get a major maintance once every ten years. But CN quit doing that: Why? Because the shareholder would get as much. Some one life is going to pay the consequences of that stupidity.

Now they are busy tearing out every other CN siding across Canada. Why? Then they don't have to maintain it, and the shareholder get the profit.

CN is taking big time shortcuts its going to regret latter.

I am not really familiar with C.N. Steam Locomotives , maybe this will get some action in the Steam Room :D Moving it there .
