Well just back from the Lewiston round trip, and it sure was a long 3 days. Only real disapointment was the equipment that Amtrak ran. The trip took about 11hrs each way but this was caused by a few poor Disp. moves. Also heavy traffic in the Portland Vancouver area. The swapping of pilots also cost alot of time. Who knows how long it will be til the next time a passenger movement is made to Lewiston. The town of Lewiston really turned out to meet the train Friday night and got very good coverage in the press. Can't wait to check out the magazines for pix's of the adventure.
