A Railfan Photography Forum has been proposed. The discussion is in the Administrative Forum. I think this is a good idea. If you agree or have comments about it, please respond in that form. I am just using this space to call your attention to it.

Actually, I think this would be the spot to post our railfanning pics. A photography site would be more for tech info and how to subjects.

There is need for both. However, for merely displaying pictures, I find it easier to provide a link to where I have my pictures stored in accessable photo albums on line. (I use PhotoPoint, but they are not the only ones offering this service.)

I believe what we are looking for here is both technical and artistic discussion as it relates to railfan and model railroad photography.

Guys, I'm formulating a response in support to the proposal of a photography forum. Brent has the right idea for making it a technical forum, but it can also support the forums where photos would normally be posted.

Pierce, no doubt there will be a broad outline to the forum's subjects. Exactly what the scope shall be will be worked out shortly. I do feel the artistic and technical go hand-in-hand. It would be great to see this develop into as a premier off-newsgroup real-life and model photography forum.

Gary.
