I am creating a N gauge layout and would like to know if there are any layout programs out that work with the Mac?

I have since found a program made by Abracadata for the Mac.

Has anyone used this before?

Hi there Don,

I see this is your first post so welcome aboard. I don't know how many Mac users we have here. That would be an interesting question to ask the members. I'm afraid it's all PC's here at my place so I can't help you out with that. http://www.trainboard.com/frown.gif

Glad to have you around though. http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif

The site is: www.internetTrains.com (http://www.internetTrains.com)
I don't know if it is case sensitive. You will find it in the "software" section

Hi again Don. Yes, internettrains.com is our fine advertiser and I am sure they will serve you well. At first you said internettrain and I was wondering about the "S" on the end. http://www.trainboard.com/wink.gif

It isn't case sensitive either so that's a great deal. I am glad they could help you. out with that.

What kind of Mac do you have? I am not really famailiar with them anymore.

Hi Don, welcome aboard http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif One of my sons is a graphic designer, and uses a Mac at work. He also has an IMac at home, and says they are much better than a PC.

But he also has a PC at home, and I think he uses it more than the Mac!!

I notice with a lot of software, there is often a Mac version available. I will stick with my PC, I like two buttons on my mouse, plus a scroll wheel http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

Macs rule!! Blazing speed and a rock solid operating system.

I have used them at work and am buying a new G4 after Christmas.

For the record, any software that you can run on Windows can be run on a Mac. You just need a PC emulator... both software and hardware emulators are available. You can even install Windows on a Mac... although I don't know why you'd want to inflict that on a perfectly good computer http://www.trainboard.com/wink.gif

A dual processor 500mHz G4 Mac is 2x faster than a 1GHz PC.

As for the train software: try the links section of this website. (http://perso.club-internet.fr/simonet/Home_us.htm) They may have some info.
