I had bought my HP950C about 6 months ago. It does have great output and the small 5*7 paper tray is a plus!

I understand there is a printer that will print white, does anyone know anything about it like $$$ and where to get it?? I want to use it for making my own decals, or is it better just to find someone who can make them for me. I have a freelance RR and want to decal my engines and cabeeses and some rolling stock.

Thanks!

I'd like to suggest that one shouldn't
buy a photo quality printer before they
have checked out the Canon BJC 8200.
I've been able to sell portraits printed
on this machine, although I do charge
a bit less than ones from the pro lab.
The big advanage to my customers is that my
digital retouching costs so much less than
hand painting a print or interneg.
With a large enough file size, it requires magnification for most non-photopros
to distinguish from an enlarger print.
Using the specific paper for this machine,
of course. Another feature I like is the
individual color ink tanks, so I'm not
throwing away whole sets because one color
ran out. It tells me when any one tank is
getting low.
I print 8X10 from a 85 meg file. If I
recall correctly, I think the BJC 8200
is list at about US$399.

As for buying a printer just for decals, it could be expensive!...
