Building a Dual Guage, (N/Nn3) transition line using N scale flex track with Nn3 rail inside N scale track using extra flex ties.

Question is, how do they 'end' the outside lone rail where dual guage rail ends? Do they use wheel block or just run rail into the earth?

My theme for the dual guage is the 'East Broad Top' railroad coming off my current PRR main. Building a 3 foot transition line to a cargo transfer dock area.

Have a Markin american steam set (needs kitbashed to EBT) , Z track and ideas ready.

Any tips would help.

From what I can recall, there is nothng special at the end of the last rail. Usually, a certain distance beforehand, there is a sign warning the train crew how many feet are left, before they run out of track.
