Just curious. I've been swapping e-mails with a fellow who is interested in this scale. And has me thinking about perhaps building a module. Is there anyone here who is actively modeling in HOn30?

Greg-
That's the problem. So many of us suffer from modelrailroaditis. graemlins/shakehead.gif An affliction whereby we get all kinds of ideas, that always out pace our paycheck.

Think theres a Kalmbach book out there by Frarry and Hayden. They built a layout called the Carabesset and Dead river in HOn30. There are quite a few people who do this scale....Mike

I have a few articles on the Carrabasset & Dead River in my scrap book. But I did not know they'd put together a book. Do you have any more info?????

Sorry Boxcab thats the best I can do here. Try calling Kalmbach and see if its still in stock.
Dont remember if I have seen it advertized in Model Railroader lately . I can check at my LHS to see if they have it or not....Mike

"G. Thommen" is one of the best to pull.

"Berta" has just started on her first trip of the day.

"Berta" is, despite her size, a hard working locomotive.

Jon-
Thanks for the photos.
Just curious- What kind of track are you using? Is that HOe or N?

It's a mix, really. The visible track is H0e but in the tunnels it's Nscale track, mostly Peco.

Frary, and Hayden had an excellent article in RMC, in 1972, on the HOn30(2 1/2) Thatcher's Inlet. Feb. Mar. Apr. May 1972.

Pete-
Those two have done some fantastic stuff over the years! Talk about talent!
It would be great if only all the articles could be gathered together into one volume for publication. But since they have written for more than one magazine, sadly that won't be possible. I have accumulated some of these article into my scrapbook for easy reference.
