I need advice from someone in northeast Illinois. I plan on going down to Wheaton in a couple weeks. My plan is to take [12] out of Elkhorn, WI to [53] south to I290 south to I355 then west on [38] to [43] north to Manchester Road.

Is there any bad conditions I may run into. Also is any part of this that is toll roads. I'm just trying to be prepared.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I355 is a toll road (I used to be from the western subs) I'm trying to figure out what the names of 38 and 43 are. I know I used to know, but they've slipped my mind.

I assume you're going to the monthly show.
If it were me, I'd just take I-355 to I-88 to the appropriate exit (which I of course forgot) more expenisve, but less road changes.

Thanks YoHo, graemlins/notworthy.gif
I also posted this on the GWRRA board. Got some exellent and varied advice from people that live in the area. I think I'll try the most direct. South on county road to WI 120 that turns into IL 47. South to IL 38. Then east to IL 43. Then north on IL 43 to Manchester Rd. Got it all ploted out on Yahoo maps.
Yes I'm going to check out the train show at the fairgrounds. smile.gif
