Engine Shed

Now nearly finished the Engine Shed, only thing left to do is finish off the pipework on the small trestle bits so my loco's can get cleaned up/fed & watered. Then I shall store the building until my new Badger Creek is underway after xmas.

Paul- You have truly inspired me to try my hand at scratchbuilding. Thanks for all of your help and for making your work available to the rest of us.

Your engine shed is beautiful. I only hope that some day I can produce work that comes out nearly as nice as some of the stuff you produce.

That's a beautiful building Paul! What is the foundation material? The foundation is not only a nice effect, but it also appears very practical for integrating with surrounding scenery :cool:

Hank, the foundation is just plain card around 1/16" thick, I will start adding details onto this first before it is placed onto the layout, then it is alot easier to blend in to the scenery which is already there.

As always; I'm excited to see your work and marvel at your skill level & to think you are planning a 'New Badger Creek'. Have you thaught about putting together a book that highlights your accomplishments or getting with Allen Keller to video tape your layout?

Hi Paul, it has been awhile, but i'm back. Nice to see your modeling again. Very nice job. The only thing i'm modeling now is the inside of my home ;)
Looked up your new layout, looks good too. By the way what did u use for your window frames and door?

Hi Railery,
I had to scratchbuild the window frame out of 1/32nd square wood, as for the doors, they were built as for the sides of the structure using stripwood on card.

Thats too much. Your windows are excellent. i thought they were bought, like from Grantline. Very nice job. The staining of the model looks awesome too.
