Hey all,

I'm going to go with block wiring on my pike,
and had this question. I'm only going to switch one lead from the power pack to the track. I have gapped the inside rail to get
the blocks. Do people usually switch the + side or the - side? My guess is the + side, but would it really matter?

Thanks for all your great advice.

Doesn't matter since when you reverse the power to reverse the train you've got + and - mixed up anyway. The one thing to be careful of, though, is during operation do not let a loco cross into a block that is under the control of another cab.

A long drawn out discussion on another board recently dealt with this topic. I'm not sure if it's allowed but rather than rehash the whole thing here go to this site. (http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?f=3&i=7102&t=7102)
