Has anyone put DCC in the Spectrum Dash-9 by Bachmann? Is it worth the trouble? Can it be done? Who knows how to install DCC in this engine? http://www.trainboard.com/confused.gif

To install DCC in the Dash 8, go to Azteks site, and it will ahve a milled frame. Then, just soldier http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif

Very strange.....I was just thinking of this very subject yesterday. (Ebay inspired http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif). I will check out Aztec's site on this. Dane, do you have any of the spectrum stuff running? if so, how does it run. Is it worth the cheap $40.00 (US)

Thanks,
Matt

I may be wrong, but I don't think John from Aztec will mill a Bachmann frame. I did my own & installed a DN140 in a -8. This install was not what I was looking for. The motor over heats (even after installing new brushes) and it cannot keep up with Atlas or Kato engines. So, I've created dummies from the -8's. They look real good as helpers or distributed power units.

I came across this website that I found to be very informative concerning my questions about DCC. If anyone has questions about DCC, this site can answer your questions or link you to somebody that can. I haven't checked it out totally...there's too much, but I have it bookmarked.

I hope that I typed that right.
