I started a thread a while back on weathering and posted a picture of my mikado. Well, being new to the digital camera, I never realizd the finger marks I left where I kept picking it up, also, as I looked at it, I never really liked the Red cab, even if it is prototypical for a CB&Q. So I went back and colored the cab and did some re-weathering. I like it better. Digital cameras do wonders for your modeling eye!

Now after http://railimages.com/albums/joeszajko/aaj.sized.jpg
So there is the touch up! No more finger smudges. Maybe the red roof on the cab was prototypical, but I just didn't like it. With paints if ever get so inclined, I can always put it back! smile.gif

That fixed it up real nice Joe. No more finger prints. ;) I use the camera all the time to see what I messed up, and then take new pictures to see how well I fixed my mistakes.
The camera works real well for that.

Great looking model, did you use chalks to weather?

The camera can be real cruel! But also very helpful for checking detail, etc. ;)

I didn't use any chalks, just grimey black and engine black mixed at different shades. I just liked the way it looked when applied better than chalks, not to mention, I tend to handle my stuff probably way too much anyway! smile.gif The digital camera is really making me more aware of my work that is for sure!
