Hi Gang,

I would like to know the policy about posting new products.

In the N scale forum, it is accepted netiquette but when I posted a new product here in Z, it was moved to yellow forum.

No Z scaler looks in the yellow forum for new products.

The best way to announce a new product is to make a post in the appropriate scale forum pointing to the info in the yellow forum. smile.gif

you mean like topic

New product: Graffiti for Z

then as body

Blabla

Then a link to the yellow forum?

That sounds redundant!

In case you didn't notice, there have only been 60 topics in Z scale... I figure any news and releases would bring the interest up a notch.

post has been deleted because it's now irrelevant

We are usually very relaxed about new product announcements, and see no reason why they cannot be made in the appropriate forum. As long as it is an announcement and not just an advertisement.

If an item is posted in the yellow forum, it can also be flagged from the scale forum (double exposure) ;) Don't forget that the posts in the yellow forum also show in the "last 24 hours" page listing.

Post away Alain. We'll leave our post here. We have a large staff and everyone does things slightly differently. We do appreciate Z Scale product announcements.

Hi Alain, I was the one who moved your topic. I'm a new moderator, and did not realize we could keep product announcement topics here, thinking all for sale items had to be moved to the yellow forums.

I would move it back, however I can only move topics in the Z Scale forum.

I'm sorry for the confusion, but I would like to say it is a great new product! smile.gif

Thanks for the insight guys.

I will post new Z products in the future.

SMD products and me, (alain pelletier) are strongly considering making signals for Z scale.

There should be some neet announcments in the near future.

Now you're really talking. I would really love to see semaphore signals available in Z Scale. The North American style ones with the pointed end targets, that is.

Even in N Scale they have been very rare, with NJ International just last year doing a run of them after having been unavailable for almost 10 years.

Since I model NP, they would go great on my Z Bend modules, but almost all the railroads used them in one place or another.

Another type of semaphore signal I would like to see is the round ended ones that many stations had on a mast. Those would be fantastic.

And of course, the regular lighted signals are great too. It's a good time to be in Z! :D
