Just ordered 4 BNs to add to my TTXs. I guess I really need to pick up a modern AZL loco. F3s just don't look right pulling a stack train!

I ordered 3 myself, as well as a couple of those Pacemaker cars.

I have 7 of the TT ones already, and I suspect MT will release another paintscheme in the coming months after talking to Joe D'Amato at the NMRA convention about how fast they sold out. :D

Yikes. Another freight car that I NEED. At this rate, my Z scale fleet will eclipse my O-scale fleet!

Hey Hemi, you got to save your shekels now, because next year is the year of Z Scale!

We will be getting a GP-35 from MT, and plastic SD70 and 75's from AZL. Might even have the MT turnouts by then too!

Consider starting a Z Bend Module, (or converting your wife's layout to that standard) as that is the standard that's catching on now. Some girls in the midwest started a Z Bend club, and several of us out here in the SF Bay Area are starting one now.

Everyone who likes N secretly likes Z too, but just don't like the minimal selection. Z is now, where N was in 1990, and just think of what you can do with all the extra layout space. :D

Update:
I just got my BN Husky's, and boy are they nice! Heavy cast metal frame, nicely executed. These things would run well, in a long train. Nw, if only I had 4 BN SD40-2's and another 50 of these cars......

I just got mine in today. Now I have 7 TT and 7 BN. I think I'm going to paint a couple of the TT in that nice Conrail Blue scheme, and a couple BN in BNSF for variety. smile.gif

By the way, a guy on the Yahoo z_scale group is selling decals for the containers, as well as Z Scale FRED's

About Decals:
The decals apply like what you ordered, except yours were rather easy and if
memory serves me correctly there were only 3 decals per side and 1-2 per end.
The container decals are similar, reporting marks one decal, logo and name
lettering another already spaced out, some containers have end markings on the
door ends. Currently I have 10 different Road/company names and logos with
appropriate markings. The 10 name set is $22.50, enough to do approx. 24
containers. I've decided to offer individual names/roads, mix and match your
choice at $3./ set. + $3.85 S&H actual priority mail cost within the US, $4.00
to canada. Same shipping for any # of decals or other products I offer.

About F.R.E.D.s:
With the responce I've recieved so far about the freds, I was aiming for $25.
Kit, fairly easy to install, no soldering required. After reviewing everything,
the Kit will be $26.15 + $3.85 priority mail shipping. No matter hww many decals
or freds, same shipping charge. The Fred Kit includes a cast brass fred housing
with predrilled holes for MTL coupler pin mounting, painted black, yellow or
white, red lens fiber optic cable, flashing unit with flasher chip, superbright
red LED, and a rotary on off switch, via a small jewelers screw driver, and a
set of 2 #357 energizer alkiline batteries. The "Flash rate is 1 time per second,
well within prototypical standards" (US standards dictate that a fred flashes no
less than 1.2 times per second and no more than .7 times per second).
Replacement batteries available from me and also available at radio shack and
other stores. So far the fasherhas been flashing for 108 hr's on a single set of
batteries, and still going. I posted a new photo last
night in the choo choo terrain file of our groups photo section that shows the
detail a little better, but I can only zoom in so much with my current digital
camera. One of the pics shows it lit. By the wat, the weight of the flasher uhit
is 5.2 grams.

This fred can be installed in any MTL boxcar, if rib or plug door boxcar, ask
for a remote switch that can be mounted in the opposite end or bottom by
drilling 1 hole.

I just finished assemling 6 flasher/LED/battery holder units last might and will
finnish the rest of the parts today, so 6 will be ready to ship wed. A optional
installatin kit will be available along with install for you service at
additional charge.

If you or anyone in not satisfied, I'll refund your purchase price. Hope I've
covered everything, LMK,
