I have just moved from Champaign, and a good NTrak club, The Midwest Central Railroad Club. I now live in Rockford and was wondering if anyone belongs to, or knows of an NTrak or N scale club in my area. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Jim.

BNSF7173,
I suspect the nearest NTrak group to Rockford is in Madison, Wi. You might want to visit the train show this weekend at Jefferson High School, 4145 Samuelson off South Alpine. It's a two day show,

I know there are some N scale modelers in the Monroe, Wi area, but I don;t think they are NTrak.

I will be there on Saturday to Promote Galesburg Railroad Days. I would like to link up with you and introduce you to some of the folks in the Northwestern Illinois Chapter of the NRHS.

BNSF7173,

I'm sure Royal Blue and I know you, we're in N-trak of Bloomington-Normal. http://www.trainboard.com/cool.gif My roommate has family in Rockford so I'll try to gleen some info from them. I doubt it will help, I don't think any of them are Model Railroaders, but I'll give it a try. Come see us at Galesburg, ya here?!?

Hey guys, I thought Maxwell Plant and Royal Blue were from Bloomington. However the name "Royal Blue" and "Steve Zink" go hand in hand. Harry, I will be at the Rockford show this weekend, and if you like I have a few N scale BNSF engines that I have painted up. They are on the BNSF roster, and believe me they are not C44-9s. One is a GP9 with torpedo tubes, the other is a GP39-M. I look forward to seeing you at the show.

Is that GP9 TT the one you entered and won with in the Urbana Show's Modeling contest? Nice job! I'm in NTBN (and currently it's President) but I live in Lincoln. Thank's to "Zinker-the-Stinker", I'm also known as "Buddha". http://www.trainboard.com/rolleyes.gif It's a long story, so don't ask. Anyway, stop by NTBN while you're at GBRRD's, we'll be looking for you!

BNSF 7173,

I plan to be at the Rock River Valley Division NMRA Train Show in Rockford this Saturday from about 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM or so. Let's plan to meet at the Northwestern Illinois Chapter NRHS table at noon. Let me know if this will work for you.
I know messages of this type are best sent off list but I couldn't find your personal e-mail address.

Hey Zink, don't worry I haven't forgotten about those shells. I think about them all the time http://www.trainboard.com/wink.gif I also have a Kato C44-9 that needs a H2 paint job. I'm still researching the paint thing, but man they are keeping me busy! I'll see what I can find out, if they have been discoed, I can match them up to some Polly Scale that we have in stock. My wife and I can't wait for Galesburg! After all it has a special meaning to us, that's where we went for our honeymoon! We'll be there.

I just wanted to thank Harry Grossman for helping us this weekend in finding a place to run trains. Harry took us to many clubs, and got us set on the right track (pun intended, mm, sure). We are know counting the days until Galesburg Railroad Days, after hearing him talk about whats in store for us this year. Thanks to Harry, this show is fast becomming the Mecca of train shows in IL. Thanks again http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif
