With all the nice parts they make I dont know why they just dont make some complete EMD deisels. The only thing I dont like is there instructions.

I am trying to build there EMD air tanks at the moment, and I can not for the life of me understand how and where to place the mounting tabs. The directions stink and they dont have a web site.

If anyone has built this kit, I would appreciate the help.

Damz68:

I also love using Cannon parts, particularly their thinwall cabs and high-nosekits. I've never actually used their air tanks though.

Over at the N-scale forum, somebody posted a link to a page showing an HO SD45X project almost from the ground up, using lots of Cannon parts including the air reservoirs. Maybe from the photos you can see how they are put together. Without further ado, Elizabeth Allen's SD45X! http://www.pbase.com/tracktime/sd45x_elizabeth_allen

Good luck!

The end mounting brackets have tiny pins on them that are designed to match up with dimples on the tank ends. They're small, but they're there. Be VERY careful removing the brackets from the sprues - they are quite delicate (ask me how I know...).
