Thanks for all the info on track cleaning. Here is one for you. For a few years I have been using "LimeAway" bathroom cleaner for restoring old track and switches (used) to like new condition before relaying them. I even use it to clean swicth points and contacts (with a small paint brush). Just spray it on the track, using a tooth brush scrub the track lightly and wash off. I think you will be amazed. I also use "LimeAway" on brass locos. It makes a good pickeling agent. After stripping the clear coat off. I tried using "CLRX" cleaner but it did not work as well. Have fun.
