The V&O was really my inspiration for the A&A. at least it is still staying in existance after the movement. (most of it)

noonoo, no, allen McClelland (the founder of the V&O) is moving HIS layout, as described in the link. His layout inspired my A&A., just a correction (my fault  )

Interesting point. The new V&O will start where the current one ends.Sounds like a neat way to continue your railroad to me. :D

Sorry Pat...I was very confused by the first post. Now that I understand, I have looked at the link. Now that I have looked at the link, I have made the connection. I think it is cool that after so many years of running one of the most famous model railroads (the V&O is has articles back into the 70s as I remember)that a) McLelland is willing to move it and b) that part of it will be put in a museum. Not many modelers will ever get that honor.
Catt is right about the new layout. In the latest MR article (which I cannot find at the moment, but will get you the reference on) McLelland plans on a new railroad that picks up where the old one ends. Happy Modeling!!

now I know that you guys were talking about. I haven't subscribed to MR for about 1 year so I could save for ther New N scale layout. My last subcription was the 2nd article about Tony Koester's new Nickel Plate.

It is actually a really good article. I think they are moving to a new house, as I recall, and so he decided it was time to build a new layout. I'm still looking for the article...when you have two teenagers and a four-year-old nothing is EVER where you think it is! Happy Modeling!
