Dave,
I have visited your site from the Atlas forum. You've put a lot of work into it and your web site, and learning DCC...lol. Good job!

I enjoyed visiting your web site Dave. It looks like you are well along with it.

I have a question about the Atlas 5.0 design software. How much space does this program take up on your hard drive to install?

Does it really allow you to lay out specific curve radii like 31.5", 21.25" etc, or does it only go by Atlas's sectional 18" and their other stock sizes?

(I plan on using all flex track, so it may not suit my purpose.)

Thanks Guys,
Watash,
When you download from Atlas the file is 1.7MB I installed the N, and HO folders, and I think it all expands a bit when installed. Mine has 12MB for it, but I have a lot of plans (25?)

Yes you can make curves like that, you can make any curve, that is how I make turntables larger than Atlas, just a 6" curve.

To make curves you go to "shape flextrack", in the special Menu. Then you use the duplicate tool and it will duplicate it, then give you the add track tool to make more than one section.

The problem with RTS is that you can not make your own libraries-of track, I thought about contacting a programmer to write BLB files, but never have. I have a special layout that I start with that just has a bunch of track on the "desktop" (in RTS) and insert that into all new plans.

The software is weird, but you can figure it out after a while, I consider myself an expert at it. But there are more advanced users out there.

If you have problems downloading it, contact me and I'll give you my old EMail to get in to the download area.

Hi Dave
I can see that your layout will look pretty good when finished. The mess looks like mine when I am working on a particular part.
How did you take the regular Atlas switch machine and install it underneith. Just so I won't miss it, can you E Mail me the instructions at
dsa@capay.com. I would sure appreciate it.
