How do you folks spray steam engines after weathering using dull coat? Disassemble, use masks over the linkage and driving wheels, spray away,or...?? The Spectrum 2-8-0 is the patient. Thanks.

Just today, not 5 hours ago, I did an Athearn Mike. Didn't mask a thing. Took some of the sheen off of the metal drivers too. Looks like a completely different loco. I'll put some before/after pics up tomorrow. Had to clean the drivers off (alcohol on a paper towel, run full speed), but its fine.
For diesels, make sure you mask the "glass."
