SP TEBU Question

Hi guys,

I've been contemplating building one of Espees' TEBU units for a very long time, and have even stashed away a Stewart/Kato U25B to be cut up for this project. The big hangup, though, are the dimensions. Anyone have any rough dimensions for one of these, like from the one end of the carbody to the other, or from the top of the walkway deck to the top of the carbody? Unfortunately, TEBU's are very rare here in SoCal, so I can't do what I would normally do and just measure one. http://www.trainboard.com/frown.gif Thanks, and any help from any of my fellow Espee modelers out there would be greatly appreciated!

i would expect the carbody would have been the same as the U25B's but the dimention from the top of the carbody to the walkway would have to be a guesstimate you have any pics of one coupled to another unit?

Yep, I've got pics of these things, but I'd rather not have to guesstimate. These units had new hoods fabricated, first by M-K on SP 1600, then by SP shop forces on the remaining units, using 1600 as a guide. So I'm not sure if the end-to-end dimensions are the same as the U25B's they started out with, although I kinda doubt it. Oh well, I'll find out sooner or later; who said modelling was easy! http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif
