In my previous life as an HO modeler, I had a very nice pocket gauge for track, vertical clearance, wheels, etc, which I found very handy. Now that I have seen the light and converted to S Scale, I would like to find a similar tool. Does anyone know if such things are available and where I might obtain one? Thanks

Banta Modelworks, has a clearance gauge item T-2103. The gauge is actually a pair, one laser cut in wood and the other in acrylic for $7.95 for the pair.

The NASG is a worth while organization to join. You get six issues of the Dispatch, a nifty magazine for your membership. They also have a track and wheel gauge.

You don't have to be a member to get the gauge.
The NMRA was considering one, but I haven't heard if they went ahead and had one produced or not.

Hope this helps.
