I am attempting to paint my A-B-A motive power with the Raymond Loewy two tone green paint scheme --- I have been unable to find ready to use paints in those particular colors -- I am wondering what colors are used to get the two greens as close to prototype as possible.
Any and help and suggestion appreciated.

Thanks

Here's a starting point:

Scalecoat/Scalecoat II paints by Weaver Models are a good starting point http://www.weavermodels.com/page8.html . Scalecoat lists both colors as "NP Light Green" and "NP Dark Green".

Other paint sources would be ModelFlex paints by Badger which lists both NP Loewy colors and Polyscale/Polyscale II paints. The white striping can be painted using "Reefer White" or using decals such as those available from Microscale Decals.

I'm sure others on this forum can add other sources to what I just posted.

Welcome to TainBoard!

Not trying to steer you away from our site- A possible resource is the NP Modelers Yahoo Group. They've chatted about this at length. There should be plenty of suggestions available, via searching in the message archives.

What you read in the previous threads was good stuff. I also bought the same paint and although I have more than a few locos that came from the factory already painted, at least 7-8 undecs will need to be painted. I already have the decals to finish the job. Please post your pictures when you're done.
