1. All challenges close at 12 midnight (24:00 hours) Eastern Standard Time on Monday 4th Aug 2008, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread.
2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past.
3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!!
4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged.
5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully.
6. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will be deleted.
7. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between the Aug 1 and Aug 4 2008.
8. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct.

I look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all modellers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past.

Ummm... Shall I assume that the dates here and the reference to "modellers" are both left over from a previous competition?

I didn't have much time to railfan this weekend but I did get a chance to capture a shot of the old Pufferbelly Station in Grand Junction.

This is the former C&NW depot at St James, MN. The structure is stucco with an asphalt shingle roof. It is in use by UP crews at this time.

Louisville Union Station- built in 1890 by the L&N. It's located on 10th & Broadway in Louisville, KY. Nashville, TN had a similar union station also on the corner of 10th & Broadway.

A great show this week--I finally have a submission, too.
Helena, MT--a GEVO leads coal loads and light SD70ACe helpers await crews:

Ft Payne, IIRC, is the home of the country singing group that a few of us know as Alabama.
Cool shot!

Yeah, the first time I drove through there heading up to Chattanooga, I saw a road sign that said something about the "Alabama Museum". I thought that it was an out of the way little town to put a museum for the State of Alabama.

Yep...your both correct! The band members of Alabama do live in Ft Payne. In fact, Kimberly used to live in Ft Payne and we drove to some of there houses on the mountain behind the station. Talk about nice!
Didn't go into the bands museum, but I see that coming on another trip. :)
